[Tycho?]
Larry Niven- Ringworld/Ringworld Engineers Wiliam Gibson- Neuromancer Frank Herbert- Dune Orson Scott Card- Ender's Game Those are my favorite books (in no particular order). Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C Clarke was also good, but it just doesn't strike the same chord as these other books. I actually just finished Rama 2, and found it to be horribly dissapointing. Al Caponeoni
Douglas Adams. Arthur C. Clarke. And Dune was alright. . . well, actually, it was great. But it is still overrated, in my opinion.

ecoli
I found my copy in a used book store. It's in pretty good condition too. Unfortunately some parts are a tad unbelievable, but on the whole a good read.

husmusen
For classic stuff I'd have to go with Asimov, inparticular the 'foundation' sieries and Bicentennial man(the book that is).
Tetrahedrite
Yeah...the chrysalids is good, but my favourite is stranger in a strange land, closely followed by hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.
