In the WordPress admin section, there is a Plugins page. Enable the Firestats plugin. You can then see live statistics (visitors, pageviews, etc.) in the WordPress admin, through the Firestats tab.

 

I don't mind if you include advertisements, so long as they are content-appropriate (e.g. no ads for porn sites).
