I heard on Fox news that Arafat had died. Then I heard on ABC TV that he wasn't dead....................anyone know???

PARIS (AP) - French doctors announced Thursday that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, who is in intensive care at a French military hospital, is still alive.

Fox were apparently repeating a claim made by Israel's Channel Two TV station, based on unnamed sources in Paris.

It looks, however, as if he has hours, or at best days, remaining.

don't think so- I heard he was having a brain scan

NBC news reported that he had died last night, but they were unsure as well.

he died at 3:20 this morning I heard on sky news at about 7:30, a french guy announced it.
