Funniest. Post. Ever.

words from one who has not studied socialism.

socialism is capitalistic' date=' actually. communism is not. socialism is capitalism with restrictions. a socialistic law present in the united states is the sherman antitrust act[/quote']

That's one definition of socialism, seems there are various forms - must be a religion! I haven't studied socialism and communism much, just like I haven't studied S**T much, but I know it smells bad and I don't want a taste!

If your definition of socialism is utopia, then of course it sounds good. In any case, socialism requires the state to control assets. So, it is a matter of how much that should occur. Too little, and the poor suffer and the middle class shrinks. Too much and the wealthy suffer and everyone becomes poor.

Do you see a positive correlation between socialism and living standards in nations? I mean theory is one thing, but actual empirical evidence is another.

"Capitalism with restrictions"

Can you say oxymoron?

Socialism has many incarnations. Some favour some level of a free market, some don't.

And you win the Captain Obvious award of the week!!!

(tears) You like me! You really like me!!!!

Well, if "military intelligence" is an oxymoron

then "capitalism with restrictions" is an oxymoron

he is trying to imply that there are no restrictions in capitolism...however, in OUR capitalism there are many restrictions...monopolies?

that doesnt make any sense whatsoever. only free market capitalism/neoliberalism is without restrictions

Man people, I was just stating my personal views over why I support Bush, you all suddenly got hteful and jumped down my throat. All I was doing is stating a harmless opinion and I got attacked. I support Bush you do not. What is there to get all hateful about?

And I'm sure for what I just said here someone is gonna find some rude thing to say. It never fails.

And another thing this debat here is called "Why do you support Bush" I stated why i support Bush, is that not what I'm supposed to do?

Discussions don't really get very far if people don't reply, and they are hardly interesting if everyone is in agreement.

As for being attacked, well, this is the politics section and it is an election year. I usually type with one hand and cover my nuts with the other.:D

You did fine. But you have to expect a little flack when you take a strong stance. Especially when you mix religion with politics. Are you used to everyone agreeing with you when you talk about religion and politics? Things may be a little different here. You aren't going to let it scare you away, are you?

I heard this, and thought it was good.

John Kerry,

He throws away someone else's medals. He drives someone else's SUV. He marries someone else's wife. He inherits someone else's money. I think we should all vote for him, to go be president of someone else's country.

Shut up buttwipe.

Now see, I don't understamnd why people have to be so imature about little stuf like this. Thats sad. But hey, I guess some people just never grow up.
