Does anyone convince me to take nuclear physics as a major, and If yes what is the future of this major and what kind of work it involves?

is that even offered as an undergrad major in universities?

Nuclear engineering is.

You don't need a degree to work in the nuclear field.

IIRC, a lot of contracts were recently written for power plants, so there is a good future. I guess that's good for me if I decide to go 6-and-out.

Actually, I was thinking of myself and the majority of my co-workers.

My experience has been that the design and manufacturing requires degrees and the power plants don't. Is that consistent with what you've seen?
