Featured Replies

one last question the net charge which has gained one electron would be +1

the net charge number of an atom which has lost two el;ectrons wopuld be -2 Are these correct? thanks

Sure. It's possible it just depends on what charges you're starting with in the first place.

wouldnt it be the other way around as in if it loses 2 electrons it would be +2

thats how i was taught

it is the other way around because if you lost an electron, then there would be "x" amount of protons more than the electorns, therefor making it postive
