Rakdos
How would I bulid a device around a door to destroy magnetically stored data? Just a really big ring-shaped electromagnet. Purely hypothetically speacking.
Klaynos
Just a really big ring-shaped electromagnet. Sounds good to me... having a nice gas fire there would also work, not very good for humans though.... Where as a relatively high B filed (a few Teslas) will have a very small effect on humans... Rakdos
Ok for a electromagnet around a 80 inch by 36 inch door (203.2 cm by 91.44 cm) How much copper wire would I need to get to make the strongest magnetic field possible? Thanks
lightwave
I have seen this done before. It was purely experimental and temporary, but it worked. All data on disks was destroyed.
