1900 GMT...Where'd You Blokes Go?

Featured Replies

It always seems that around 1900 GMT all y'all Englishmen disappear for a while. Where do y'all go? Dinner/Supper? Or is it off to the local for a pint?

I lived in Merry Ol' England for two years and I must say....(dramatic pause)....I wish I was there right now! I love it! I lived on RAF Chicksands and in St. Neots. Frequented Bedford and Cambridge quite often.

I hope to make it back someday soon for a visit. If ever again I am single I may try to move there.

Personally I was having dinner, although yesterday I ate at 22.40 so don't draw any sweeping conclusions ;)

So, Sayo, from where in England do you hail?

I remembered tea time being around 11am. Guess I was drunk by 7 ;) I was drinking Tetley but it was a bitter ;)

I've not been there. Dreadful is it?

It's full of people called Tracey who invariably seem to wear tracksuits and giant gold hoop ear-rings. Oh yes, and sovereign rings - because they are so tasteful and elegant.

Sounds like the Fiona's in Bedford.

well look at the bright side...at least you don't live in Phoenix^_^

...wish I had tea time...I think Americans should have a break everyday, and we'll call it "pizza-time"

...first we'll have to destroy the line of restaurants with that name;)

I've always wanted to go to Phoenix. I almost moved there. I was tired of the east coast rain and snow that the Baltimore/Washington area has to offer. I like a good hot dry heat!

Yup, tea time here too, but I usualy leave about 6:30 coz I`m the cook :)

Went away to a friends house for his leaving party - he'f off to Niger for a year to do a gap year.

Conservation work or something. Im not sure what his actual day to day schedule would look like but his long term goal is to work for the UN or Foreign Office, in which case things like Gap Years, his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award and the fact he'll be fluent in french when he comes back will help greatly.
