I use the word "twelve-year-old" (or "twelve") to mean the following: "A person who is precisely 144 months old."

What is your definition of the word "twelve-year-old"?

A person between 144 and 156 months, which is what is generally meant

But this is irrelevant - a distraction - since the contradiction still exists. The statement you say is not true, and yet it is not false. The contradiction is the problem, not the definition of a twelve-year-old.

By definition, "nothing" is a "state of affairs." It is a state of affairs in which "all things are absent."

Whose definition would that be ?

What is a thing ?

What is a state of affairs and what does it mean ?

You are just trying to shape words to fit your ideas.

'Things' should really be the other way round.
