Vintage vacuum toy...

Featured Replies

Hi.

By ~1960, dad installed a wooden donkey on his VW dash.  Collapsed and stood by engine vacuum.  Similar to the 'push button' puppets that I can only find;  as searches with the 'vacuum' term in english default to 'vacuum cleaner'

Looked like the yellow based, without the under button, but a hose to the engine intake instead.  Do they exist somewhere now ?

We're now in 3D printing age..

If you know dimensions (they can be established from e.g. size of the button), you can always 3D print it.. or reverse form with slightly higher dimensions, and use as form for casting..

Hi.

The spring loaded button under, when pushed, releases the tension of strings that keeps the puppet standing up.  A 3D printer would not re-create the bladder balloon inside that under vacuum collapses releasing the strings...  better buy the push button puppet and install a bladder instead...  Was looking for its name, vendor, if they exist now.  Just nostalgic. :)
