Why do they fear that the Iraqi's would vote this monster back in? My understanding is that most Iraqi's despise him...
I was under that impression too. You'll have to ask atinymonkey.

You say that we live in a 3 dimensional world. How do you know? Really? Some physicists are suggesting that there are 10 or more dimensions. How can you claim for a fact that we live in a 3 d world?
Because all the objects we "experiance" have 3 demensions; Length' date=' Width and Height.
Anyway, all objects that humans are aware of exist in at least 3 dimensions. Perhaps more. I think that nothing can exist in 2 dimensions. You propose rats that are devoid of height. Are you suggesting that their height is infinitely small? If so, I will challenge your proposal of infinity in space. I contend that there is no existence that has infinite smallness in any dimension. No, I'm saying that they have no, 0, height. Smallness is subjective. I could say that the width of a piece of paper is small, but paper would tower over my "rats"...and even taller still. An object with zero height would be impossible for humans to see...our eyess do not work that way. We can't see individual molecules...and they have some height. You can't see something no height.

Mussorgsky (although his a Romantic composer, not classical). Especially Pictures at and Exhibition.
Also I like Bedrich Smetana, and his piece The Moldau.

Thanks for the link...The book sounds familiar, I think one of my friends has it.
Any comments on the validity of this theory?

There is a real fear that Hussein will be voted back in, which would devastate Bush and Blair. It may even lead to an impeachment of Bush, given his current popularity.
If the Iraqis want Hussein back in power, then who is Bush/Blair to deny them. I dislike Hussein as much as the next guy, but the Iraqi's should still have the right to decide who there leader is...even if it someone we don't like.

I was reading this thread: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=8033
and was thinking about multi-universes when this though occured to me.
We live in a 3 demensional world. Everything we perceive through our senses, and even things that require instuments to perceive have volume (h,l and w). However, is it possible for object...even other life forms to exist in a different dimensional world, say 2 demention.
Say there was a colony of rats with only length and width, but it was impossible for us to percive them, becasue they completely lack height.
It's hard for humans to imagine this, as we live in the 3d part of the universe, but could this be true. Could different objects exist in alternate dimension...maybe even in dimensions we have not even thought of yet?

I got my glasses back today! Yea!! I just went into the office and there was another gym teacher there, not the scary one. I asked him if he had found any glasses. And there they were, case and all sitting on the desk. They had collected a nice layer of dust since I had left him there, back in November.
About the scary gym teacher. He's not a bad guy. He is gigantic, and hardly talks. He has this look about him that seems as if he could snap you in half with one hand. He's, by far, the oldest gym teacher in my school, but he is easily the stongest.
Oh well, I got them back. That's all that counts.

Jews living outside Israel have a right to vote in Israeli elections...if they travel to Israel to vote in the polls. Perhaps a similiar situation would be appropiate in Iraq.

We are traveling through time right now, one second at a time.

Me and my brother were wrestling in my basement (on July 4th) He threw me over his shoulder and I fell into a glass cup that was on the floor. The cup shattered and cut threw my skin.
Later I leanred it had cut threw my muscle and lacerated my tricep tendon. I went through an hours worth of surgery, and I still have a very large scar on my elbow. I had to wear a caste/brace for 4 months.

Why are they spending money on bigger, fuel-guzzling airplanes. Many airlines are having these problems. Due to the current flying situation, They have huge planes that are half-full but they still have to spend the same on fuel. They should take a leaf out of Jet Blue's book. They have smaller planes...that are filled up and eliminated on-board meals. And their making a mint. There flights are cheaper and their geting the passengers.

I have not been educated at a Waldorf school...but I'm am somewhat familiar with their methods, and have been in several schools. From my experiances, the grounds and schools are very nice. And also...my mother would kill to get a teaching job at a Waldorf school.

I don't think an object as big as mars would be needed to make the moon. If an object collided with the earth to make the moon, wouldn't it need to be only the size of the moon. (1/6 the size of earth)

Try asking the teacher. He won't bite.
If you're too scared' date=' you could write him a note.[/quote']
Yeah...I guess I'll just have to suck it up and do it. Ok...I'll ask him on Friday, when I net have gm class.

Yes...a Waldorf school gives a unique educational experiance to students (http://www.awsna.org/). I think it's a fantastique idea...and a step in the right direction for the education of youth.

People who believe in God seem to be much in the minority in SFN, or at least the vocal minority. This makes stating our opinion's much harder, because less people will take us seriously. I get the feeling that you all believe God is "old school."
Its funny how when someone says "He's 100% sure God doesn't exists" most people just accept it and even agree with it. But when I state my own opinion...That 100% sure of something that is impossible to disprove (or prove) is foolish...I have people attacking me. I'm just trying to make a logical argument against a statement (though, I have nothing against with the person who said it).

Are you as confused as I am, Lance?

Oh!!! A lightbulb just went on in my head. I get what your saying. You mean milk causing earlier puberty causing possible bad desicions about sex, possibly causing AIDS. I get it!
Interesting...now that I think of it, we had our first sex-ed/puberty talks in school at age 10, grade 5. That seems much too early, but with puberty levels declining...maybe it's not a bad idea.
Milk, albiet indirectly, is dangerous (only thinking about puberty, not anything else). For reasons aforementioned... Didn't you read Coquina's post?

I'm confused about the pictures. What are they talking about. And what does the "to scale" label mean. Is that actual size, or something? Becasue if it is, then that's definately not a pilbug.

This is my take...with a little help from an online translator, it's similiar to what you came up with.
"That which you are now able to do, or able to dream of doing, should thereby be done at once! Courage to act is genius, strength and charm, within itself."

I'm sorry Lance...I've tried but I still don't understand that last post. Could explain what you mean, for me. Thanks
