Can you clarify or get a little more in depth with what you mean with the A, B, and E fields thing? Oscillatory EM field to satisfy the equation? I'm sure it must be aggravating, me asking these questions but not even knowing how to work an equation for it let alone what it looks like. Sorry :/

seriously.... I just wanna know why light propagates in a wave. If its not a disturbance from an aether, then why is it?

I've read that before in the search for my question, now if only I could understand it lol. Im just gonna go ahead and presume that we dont really know why light propagates as a wave or if its just our perception, perceiving light that way.

Well why does light propagate like a wave?

Why does there have to be a purpose or reason for the significance of our existence for anything we do to matter? If there is no purpose in our existence, that doesn't mean anything we think is meaningless in the grande scheme of things. I'm going to die one day, and eventually forgotten but maybe I can contribute to the longevity of humanity. Even if our species does make it off the planet, I doubt we will survive in the universe for eternity. My attempts to contribute to humanity are still worth it in my opinion.

So for the longest, I looked at our species with a mild distaste. After I took us off the pedestal that we put ourselves on as the most prestigious species on our planet everything started looking up. We have come a long way from our primate ancestors. It was only a few hundred years ago most the world was in the slave trade. Yes we pollute, yes were wasteful, and yes most of our governments/systems are not perfect but they are improving. Were still evolving. So to me as long as we don't kill ourselves off with war or depletion of our resources, our future is possible. Anybody have a stand on if they think our species will make it off the planet or perish on it?

First off the Michelson and Morley experiment, if there is an aether and light is already traveling on it then why would putting light in a different medium be a viable experiment. Also if there is an Aether, it doesnt mean light has to have it to travel. I'm sure when you slap a wall the energy from your slap still travels as if you slapped a body of water. The water just shows you the disturbance infront of your slaps energy. Right? I'm not saying there is an aether, I just want to brainstorm and talk about it.

Maybe gods a giant flying spaghetti monster in space? Probably not and we'll never know but i'm still not counting anything out. Personally I think if their is something like god, its going to be too much to comprehend anyways so yeah i'm just kinda agnostic about it.
