Are you joking? I HATE ants. They invade my home and think they can eat my food without my permission. If they would bother to ask me then I might say yes but nooooooo, they just barge in like they own the place. I find ants EVERYWHERE in my house! It drives me crazy. This summer when they all come back I might try some experiments my self...
Yes But for the ant to sense it wouldn’t it has to absorb the ray? And therefore if it absorbed the ray would it not be vaporized?
How do the microwave walls interact with microwaves? Do they reflect them or absorb them? If they where reflected wouldn’t it create plasma like a fork? And if it absorbed them wouldn’t they get very hot and not cook the food?
If there was no load (No food) would the ant have been fried? If the walls reflect how can an ant possibly escape the waves?
Yes ants do have fluid in them. I can remember a LONG time ago frying ants with a magnifying glass and there fluid would boil and then they would POP.
I think the food was absorbing the bulk of the radiation. People who mess with microwave magnetrons will have a glass of water near them/it to absorb most of the radiation. I think those people are idiots and I would not recommend doing that.
Oh and by the way I think microwaves fall into the category of radio waves.
I read enders game and I though it was WAY overrated. I thought it was good but not nearly as good as everybody made it out to be. I think there are some MUCH better Science fiction/fantasy books out there.
I personly failed to see why they truly needed him at all and why any adult could not have done what he did at the end. If he was truly a genius then the auther should have made him look more like a genius. Aperently they were runing out of time but the kid still spent all that time playing the same game where he could have goten the tactics down in a much shorter time.
By the way im sorry if I mispelled anything, I reformated my hard drive and no longer have word installed yet.
I heard a story about a guy that was killed with a AA battery. He put it in a place with very little resistance and found it there when the corpse was discovered.
