Finished my story and submitted it. 90% of the class loved it. I need to do a few tweaks, and the Professor suggested I try to publish it... squeeee!

I just updated my profile from "Physics student" to "Physicist". I still can't quite believe I'm about to graduate.... OMG

I found 90s music CD ("Hit Man" ... nostalgia) and I am shamelessly listening to it while finishing up my story. I wonder if the characters are going to be affected by my music choice...

Okay, sitting down to finish my story. I have to. I have to have to. I have to have to have to have to-- okay, I'm wasting time again. I have to have to stop with that. Eh.

Thanks Daedalus, I enjoyed your points, you made very good ones. I submitted my story to a Fiction Workshop class, and will edit/work on it when I get the responses. I usually publish my literary stuff here: http://lit.smarterthanthat.com -- I'd love to hear your opinion!

Best chicken soup EVER. Thanks, Naama Shefi, I still use your recipe from IsRealli! Best thing ever to recover from food poisoning over a long long weekend. Ahhhhhh.

Back and forth to the bathroom, bathtub and bed, all night long. I finally managed to fall asleep around 8am, exhausted. I feel slightly better now, though still exhausted. There's something wrong with the design of the human body if this is what happens when we introduce bad input. I demand a refund.

I made steak. I ate steak. I did homework, I went to take a nap. I woke up feeling horrible, I threw up, I felt better, I took a shower, now I feel horrible again. Observation suggests food poisoning, but the non blinded observer wishes it to be a one-off temporary ickiness, and will cherry pick the data to force it to fit said wish, until proven definitively otherwise, and even then will insist against it. Meh.

2 young women knocked on my door, then flipped an ID card at me as if it's my fault I couldn't read it too fast (ain't no Dr Who psychic page, either), asked if i am the one paying bills, and told me they're there to make sure I get all the discounts I deserve from ConEd... Did they think I'm an amateur? "Oh, sure, come into my house, weird-women-that-I-don't-know with-weird-IDs-that-aren't-ConEd, and let me show you my social security number and my bill information for your use in your mark...

*BEEP* So this morning my CO alarm started beeping for new battery. *BEEP* It's too high for me to reach and I have no ladder. *BEEP* And this is the Super's day off.. *BEEP* but to make matters worse, there's no hot water, so he actually has WORSE things to deal with.*BEEP* I am going crazy!

We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, everybody now! http://bit.ly/n4Smk5

Seeing the #hurricane in NYC, I think it's clear: The FSM is getting ready 4 a second coming. Warm water is a first step 4 good pasta.
-
Getting ready for a Hurricane is weird. I think I have everything "just in case" (specially since they're anticipating power outages and no subway) but in these cases, there's always something you go totally "D'oh!" about just when you have no stores, no water and no electricity.
-
Wow, seriously? NYC considers evacuation due to the hurricane? Eek.. okay, well, off I go to get groceries for the weekend...

My room was shaking and my door swiveled shut... I thought I was dreaming, but no! An Earthquake! Felt in NYC!!! What's up with that?
