  1. With the Trump creature having risen to power, it becomes necessary for all of us to try to comprehend gibberish.
  2. Let's hope it's not as bad as the Carlos Castaneda books. I laboriously ploughed my way about halfway through one once. I think I used some of it for lighting fires in the end. See: https://indiancountrymedianetwork.com/news/the-fake-carlos-castaneda/
  3. Can't see the 'creative' part. 'Regurgitated' maybe.
  4. Since "Zero Point Energy" is, by definition, the lowest possible energy level. And since work can only be extracted from something moving from a higher to a lower energy level. To extract work from "Zero Point Energy" you would need a lower level still, which does not and cannot exist.
  5. The Prime Ministers of the UK have had their heads firmly embedded in the US President's arse since at least Margaret Thatcher and probably a lot earlier. Their "opinion" is worthless.
  6. Does any part of this make any sort of sense whatsoever?
  7. Ahhh! It's a good day when that happens.
  8. I've always worked on the principal of: "Learn something new every day, and do something impossible at least once a week." (At least, something that other people think is impossible.)
  9. I think I see the problem. Somehow, the OP thinks that we are still seeing the same photons we would have seen had the sun not blocked them, rather than the slightly oblique rays which are curved by the sun into our line of sight. (Is this comprehensible - it's been a long day.)
  10. Fart. it's spelled fart. F. A. R. T.
  11. In other words, he's behaving exactly like a fundamentalist preacher - spending most of his time ensuring that there is no way the suckers can ever hear anything but himself.
  12. that has to be the most beautifully concise explanation of time dilation I have ever come across. I wish my lecturers (and textbooks) when I studied Astrophysics could have put it over half so well.
  13. How about: Today is not a happy day. I'm right down in the dumps. I paid at the toilet to drop a Donald. But all I did was Trump.
  14. I like Buddhism. There's more wisdom in this one paragraph than in every book from every other religion put together. "Believe nothing, O monks, merely because you have been told it ... or because it is traditional, or because you yourselves have imagined it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings -- that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide." [buddha [siddhartha Gautama] (?563-?483 BCE), founder of Buddhism] Alternative translation: "Believe not because some old manuscripts are produced, believe not because it is your national belief, believe not because you have been made to believe from your childhood, but reason truth out, and after you have analyzed it, then if you find it will do good to one and all, believe it, live up to it and help others to live up to it." [buddha]
  15. I wrote: Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritams enter ye not.
  16. But you are only allowed to be Christian if you are Jewish - says so right there in the Bible: 5) These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritams enter ye not. 6) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (My emphasis).
  17. Compulsory reading for anyone who thinks they can build a perpetually unbalanced wheel: https://www.lhup.edu/~DSIMANEK/museum/physgal.htm
  18. I think everybody needs to read this bit before they decide to take the bible seriously: And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight...Then he [the Lord!] said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith. [Ezek. 4:12-15 (KJV)] Enjoy your sandwiches.
  19. Can you give an English translation? I'm not very good at Gibberish.
  20. Hitler was very much a Christian: "I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator. By warding off the Jews I am fighting for the Lord's work." [Adolph Hitler, Speech, Reichstag, 1936] "I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator." [Adolph Hitler, _Mein Kampf_, pp. 46] "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so" [Adolph Hitler, to Gen. Gerhard Engel, 1941] "Even today I am not ashamed to say that, overpowered by stormy enthusiasm, I fell down on my knees and thanked Heaven from an overflowing heart for granting me the good fortune of being permitted to live at this time." [Adolf Hitler, "Mein Kampf", Vol. 1, Chapter 5] And many, many more.
  21. Fifteen or so years ago I was living in Togo & had to have an operation (most unpleasant - spinal anaesthetic - legs paralysed for three days etc.). I later found out that, while I was in hospital, the local Mosque had been saying prayers for me every day (I knew just one man who went there.) What did the Christian churches do? Exactly what you would expect - bugger all. (I've never had a Moslem try to convert me or preach at me in any way. Bloody Christians never shut up.)
  22. Linux or other systems would be even worse. Most of the end users I know use Mint Linux precisely because it is amazingly simple to set up and use. The pros all seem to use openSUSE - almost as easy to set up but mind-buggeringly powerful (especially if you want to run your network as a supercomputer when all the users have gone home.)
  23. Even the Great Albatross which is EXTREMELY light can only take off by running down hill into a wind. The Marabou Stork is by no means lightweight - possibly over 9kg with a wingspan of more than 3 metres. (unconfirmed reports claim over 4 metres) - takes off from flat ground - low aspect ratio compared to an Albatross but an excellent glider (I have observed them at over 4000 feet above my home which is about 3,900 ft above sea level).
  24. Forget science based arguments. Forget philosophical arguments. Forget logical arguments. If someone gives me the old 'Anything is possible.' spiel, I say: OK. Stand against that wall facing parallel to it with your left foot and shoulder pressed against it. Now lift your right foot off the ground. Call me again when you have succeeded. I never hear another word from them on the subject.
