  1. "This video is a Neal Adams animation about his theory that the Earth is growing. This collides with the Pangea theory. Watch it, you will be amazed. " Basicly he thinks the Earth is growing. http://www.wincom.net/earthexp/n/navback.htm I think it's a bunch of bull, but would like to get a second opinion.
  2. Are the virtual particles of Quantum electrodynamics related to the Casimir force?
  3. Exactly you cant use the detection of nothing as evidence. When Advance LIGO is built, maybe this will be confirmed.
  4. This is one of the axioms put forth by objectivists, so I was wondering, from a scientific stand point if this is true. OR is anything objectivism and what Ayn Rand said, go against sociobiology and the paradigms established by modern philosophers?
  5. LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) has been built and works perfectly fine. But why hasn't it detected any gravity waves? Isnt PSR B1913+16 the binary system, indirect evidence that gravity waves exist? So why not point ligo in that direction?
  6. You can spin that around and say if everyone has a nano-assembler then capitalism and Mutualism is the ultimate goal for society. Could every be self sustaining?

    The Fear of Marx.

Why doesn't congress give it a chance, or do the misconceptions and smearing go all the way down that road as well? Pass a bill at least advocating socialized healthcare and education. I know a lot of people who wanted to go to college but they could not, because of the high prices.

    The Fear of Marx.

If social democracy is so successful in in countries like Sweden, France and for that matter the European Union. Why is there so much misinformation out there? The great United Sates ranks number 13 on the Quality of Life index. On top of United States sit European states which practice Social Democracy. I think once people get beyond the Glen Beck lies and the evil communists, then we could actually give socialism a chance.
  9. I must have misunderstood where Mr Kaku was coming from. Thank you for clearing things up for me.
  10. There seems to be quit the fear when it comes to discussing Marxism and socialism. Socialism is thought by popular belief to infringe on social rights, individual rights, and civil rights. When talking about socialism people suddenly resort to saying, "Ugh Socialism, I don't want to be part of no collective!". If you go into deeper discussion with the individual you realize that most of the information they have gathered on socialism came from news networks such as, FOX and men like Glenn Beck. It has been thought for as long as I can remember that socialism and it's ideals have failed to work. Closer examination reveals that Marxist ideals have worked in many countries. Man by nature is a social creature but also a individualist, A quote from Albert Einstein's article, Why Socialism? http://www.monthlyreview.org/598einstein.php Social Democracy is used in many countries today, including Sweden. Sweden is a prime example of Social Democracy at work. Sweden has one of the most impressive economic systems in the world, with a 38,000$ GDP-per capita. A strong socialized health care system and welfare system. Sweden has achieved a very high standard of living. Eighty percent of Sweden's labour force is unionised. The Sweden model is a impressive model a very good example of social democracy. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Sweden) But to say that social democracy is the only key player in Sweden's success would be to lie. Social Democracy works on a mixed economy, with privative companies and some subsidised sectors such as Healthcare, welfare, civil care, education, and child care. Unlike, popular belief Social Democracy advocates social justice, human rights, social rights, civil rights and civil liberties. Ideals that should be adopted by all systems not only social democracy. Should people be scared of Socialism? After reading this are you still a skeptic that socialism can work? Should America adapt social democratic ideals, such as socialized, education health, and welfare? Would adapting these ideals help our society?
  11. How do they predict a solar maximum? I dont think you can. The sun a huge fusion ball of plasma, chaos controls the surface and the inner structure of the sun.
  12. You rather have a crude boring story or something with spice?
  13. http://www.theusreport.com/the-us-report/dr-michio-kakuthe-physicist-who-should-have-a-tv-show.html You know I use to liek this guy, but what the hell is this.
  14. The spectrum matches that of the spectrum in interstellar space. I think thats more than enough proof for panspermia.
  15. Could life have brought here from space, on some sort of comet? New evidence suggest yes. http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/20010631230243data_trunc_sys.shtml http://www.panspermia.org/astronmy.htm http://www.semp.us/publications/biot_reader.php?BiotID=455
  16. I heard somewhere that when a electron or photon tunnels through a potential barrier, it disappears and reappears on the other side, is this true?
  17. Yeah im pretty sure I do.
  18. I was thing about Quantum mechanics and it's inconsistency with general theory of relativity. So after much thought I think I have figured it out. But there is ZERO evidence for it, thus I am posting in the pseudo-science section. Lets assume that space-time isn't a flat sheet. Lets assume that space-time is quantized. Let me break down into laymens terms, imagine a bunch of balls connected to each other via springs. Now space-time is only quantized around a object, such as the Earth. This happens because of the tension change in the space. When a object moves near the quantized space the balls begin to oscillate and tug against the object. The front section is compressed the back is expanded, thus more force is felt in the back. Is this just a fantasy or is it possible?

    Muons

So, what we measure as mass increase is actually relativistic momentum. Here in Einstein's own words,
  20. All right I read some of your papers, vacuodynamic, and found something very wrong with the theory. If a single Electron can create such a disturbance through the vacuum medium, then that means protons can and all matter can. Stars would definitely effect the medium. Why don't we detect these waves? Binary stars would disturb this medium on a enormous scale, causing all sorts of problems, we would have earthquakes in space!
  21. You mean Gravitational time dilation. What does GPS have to do with gravitational redshift? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_redshift Does it happen to Jupiter? and has anyone measured it?
  22. http://www.iceagenow.com/ How can we be certian that crabon dioxide is causeing globabl wamring when their are thousands of volcanos under the sea. http://www.iceagenow.com/Ocean_Warming.htm Scientists denie global waring, http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fpcomment/archive/2008/05/17/32-000-deniers.aspx http://www.iceagenow.com/The_missing_sunspots-Is_this_the_big_chill.htm
  23. Does gravitational redshift happen to Jupiter? if so, has anyone ever detected it? Thanks.
  24. He said he wasnt sure it was Pfeiffer syndrome but some other deformation. Yeah, it's another baseless creationist claim.
  25. I'm having a debate with some creationist and he tells me that homoerectus suffered Pfeiffer syndrome which affects about 1 in 100,000 individuals. I think this is a baseless claim. So I need to know how many homoerectus skulls have been found. Thanks.
