Trying to discredit lie detector is like trying to discredit finger prints, or trying to discredit DNA tests, but lie detection tests are more reliable. As people know what they did or didn't. While finger prints one can leave accidentally (drinking tea/coffee for example).

Something that you would use by yourself.

For instance make math calculator as project.

Make GUI in GUI builder, learn how to attach code to execute after user clicked and interacted with common controls (button,text,listview,progress bar etc.),

One such project a day, in 6 months you will have 180 apps, and plentiful of experience, with code that you can actually show.

Electronics engineer should be familiar with robotics, so get arduino uno starter kit.

I purchased a fox hole radio set and it doesn't work... I followed the instructions and looked at the wiring and everything is connected properly, one thing I noticed tho is the coil only has 21 turns... and every fox hole radio I see has atleast 120 turns... I am a little discouraged about it not working and not knowing why but this just increases my curiosity hopefully someone can help me out!

Second one can be extracted from natural source, or created artificially.

It is also likely that the participants from the group taking the garlic knew as from the smell when burping. It says 'other biases were controlled' but how? Also, participants self recorded their episodes of the common cold and no physical examinations or other tests were taken.

 

I really dislike poor quality trials like this one where the health supplement industry can get their hands on little evidence and data which they can later exaggerate to sell supplements. We also have a responsibility not to circulate poor claims like this and encourage the spread of unproven data and the sales of ineffective health supplements.

Garlic is not food supplement. It's plant. Cheap to produce. No serious company can make a profit on selling it (and that's whole problem to discourage people from using it).
