Assume a GPU architecture that contains 10 SIMD processors. Each SIMD instruction has a width of 32, and each SIMD processor contains 8 lanes for single-precision arithmetic and load/store instructions, meaning that each non-diverged SIMD instruction can produce 32 results every 4 cycles. Assume a kernel that has divergent branches that causes on average 80% of threads to be active. Assume that 70% of all SIMD instructions executed are single-precision arithmetic and 20% are load/store. Since not all memory latencies are covered, assume an average SIMD instruction issue rate of 0.85. Assume that the GPU has a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. a. Compute the throughput, in …

the question asks for the a balanced equation based on the reactants as seen below C12 H22O11 + O2-----> ???? because it is a combustion equation it has to be C12 H22O11 + O2-----> H2O+ CO2 then I start balancing and arrive at C12 H22O11 + O2-----> 11H2O+ 12CO2 this means I have 12 carbon and 22 hydrogen on both sides. but then oxygen happens I only have 13 on my reactants side and I have 35 on my product side. I have no idea what to do next *EDIT* someone on the IRC told me I need to change the molar coefficient of the O2. which was all I needed to arrive at C12 H22O11 + 12O2-----> 11H2O+ 12CO2 so I guess this thread is going to be removed or close…

I know this isn't the homework help section...but those questions seemed to be a little more basic. So a hexapeptide inhibits the activity of a virus in vitro but not in vivo. Which ones of these would be a reason? 1. The peptide could not be processed by dendritic cells. 2. The peptide was too complex. 3. The hexapeptide failed to activate monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic clls. 4. The peptide was too long. 5. The peptide was insufficiently complex. 6. The induced cytokine response was too weak. 7. The hexapeptide failed to activate NK cells. 8. The peptide was too short. 9. The vaccinations did not work becase T-cell epitopes were absent. I'm thinki…

So I'm currently working on some physics homework to prepare for an upcoming exam. We were assigned the following problem: "Calculate the rotational inertia of a meter stick, with mass 0.56kg, about an axis perpendicular to the stick and located at the 20cm mark. (Treat the stick as a thin rod.)" Here is how I attempted to solve the problem: Using the Parallel-Axis Theorem, I=Icom + Mh2 I found the Icom (using a table of values) to be: (1/12)ML2 Filling it in for the equation: I=(1/12)ML2 + Mh2 Knowing the values of every variable, I plugged in: I=(1/12)(.56kg)(1)2 + (.56)(.3)2 My final answer was: I=.097 kg-m2 But using the list of answers our Pr…

Hello, I'm the lab we are using addition curing with a platinum catalyst to synthesize silicone. The problem is we are still trying to find the most efficient recipe so we have to add catalyst little by little until it works. However, sometimes it never works no matter how much catalyst is added. What do you think is the problem? Do you think that by adding the catalyst little by little I am blocking further reactions from occuring by forming to many catalysed reactions at once? Please let me know what you think.

Hiii everyone, I really need some help... I would like to see if my γδ T-cells are activated or not, I've heard about the γδ T-cell isolation kit from Miltenyi BUT the problem is that they use an anti-γδ TCR antibody for the purification, and I'm afraid that this antibody will activate the cells while fixing thus make my results be wrong ... What am I supposed to do ?? Do I have to analyse by excluding all the other lymphocytes and then use an activating marker or what ,? Reallly need some help Tks

I need to see what amino acids are present in a sample from a lump of meat. I take another sample, cook it, and see if the amino acid composition changes. Does anybody know the best way to do this? I feel paper chromatography is too simple, SDS PAGE goes by molecular weight and it looks like amino acids are too small to get accurate results, ion exchange chromatography? What about high-voltage electrophoresis? Any help is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks Martyn sorry, this derived from homework but is not a homework question

I am struggling to remember the rules regarding e within integration. I know that the integral of e^x is e^x. This means that the integral of e^2x must be equal to (1/2)e^2x. (derivative of (1/2)e^2x = e^2x) Ok now I am having trouble with two integrals. I am getting the right answer for the one in the book but I am not sure if my method is right. Can anyone please confirm if my integration of (xe^-x^-2) is correct? (I get (1/2)(e)^(-x)^(-2) My next question is how do you integrate (e^-x^2). Do you have to manipulate it algebratically? I know you can determine if it is divergent or convergent with a comparison test. I basically just want to know how you wo…

    Suppose that the function f : R → R is differentiable. Define the function H: R → R by H(x) = integral from −x to x of [ f (t) + f (−t)]dt for all x in R. Find H'' (x). solution: i divided it up into int 0 to x of [ f (t) + f (−t)]dt and negative int from 0 to -x of [ f (t) + f (−t)]dt. then by the 2nd FTC, H '(x)= 2[ f (x) + f (−t)], so H ''(x) should then be of 2[ f '(x) - f '(−x)]. I'm just not sure if the f(-t) changes anything besides the fact that when I differentiate f(-t) I will use the chain rule and multiply by -1.

  22. Hello! Can anyone help me in drawing out a mechanism for the oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone? I will attach my work below, my main problems are, 1. Before adding the sodium dichromate dihydrate to the alcohol, we mix it with the acetic acid. Does this activate it, making it an oxidizing agent? How does that work? Does the acetic acid attract sodium ions, giving the poly atomic ion dichromate? If so, how does dichromate get to HCrO4^-? Does it react with the water from the sodium dichromate being a dihydrate? I'm not sure of the function of those water molecules. My next question, 2. Is where does the proton come from in turning the alcohol into a chromate es…

So I have this group assignment (working with other people sucks) where I have to find out "...how isomerism leads to differences in the property of a named complex." I have done some research. All the places I have looked so far have stated that there are differences with respect to chemical, optical and magnetic properties, but they do not go into detail as to why. So, a little help? Please and thank you.
