  1. Hello, I needed to survey a group of people for their opinion on some current political problem. I decided to do the one on Ken Bigley, since it is quite controversial. Please give your vote here and your reason if you'd like. I will give a full bibliography(so if you post your opinion and the reason for it, and i decide to include it in my project you will be mentioned in the bibliography.) Encrypted P.S This is for Socials Class, and I have two weeks left! So vote, vote, vote! And may i also ask Blike or Sayanora to make it so that this post is always first.

    I cant seem to figure out 1. How does water interact with other molecules (give examples too please) 2. How does water moderate the effects of temperature changes and what causes water molecules too speed up at a slower rate. 3.How does cohesion help tall trees (I know it involves water moving up the tree) I am curious to know the answers

    I would like to know the answers for some really difficult extra credit problems Whats the difference between Glucose Fructose and Galactose and how does ribose and deoxyribose compare to them What Makes Surose Lactose and Maltose Unique from each other ? Why is cellulose used for structural strength and starch is not ? Why are unsaturated fatty acids are mostly liquid at room temperature What Nucleoties are unstable molecules which carry energy from place to place in the cell and how the unstable molecules work. Thank you

    The curve in the graph of the relationship between light intensity and photosynthetic rate firstly is quite steep and become gentler and gentler gradully, finally becomes horizontal as limited by other factors. At first the slope is steep as the input of light energy increases, and finally it becomes horizontal as limited by other factors such as carbon dioxide concentration, but why would it first get gentler?

    is there any interaction between alcohol and air in a closed system without any variance in temperature? is there any interaction between mothballs (napthalene) and air in the same conditions? by "interaction" i mean chemical reaction or phase change C2H5OH + O2 --> HC2H3O2 + H2O ??? this isn't reversible right?

    Recently, i have been facing questions about the gas laws, which i am not familiar with...this is one of the hardest...can someone help me? The molar mass of a newly synthesized flurocarbon was measured in a gas microbalance. This device consists of a glass bulb forming one end of a beam, the whole surrounded by a closed container. The beam is pivoted, and the balance point is attained by raising the pressure of gas in the container, so increasing the buoyancy of the enclosed bulb. In one experiment, the balance point was reached when the flurocarbon pressure was 327.10 Torr; for the same setting of the pivot, a balance was reached when CHF3 (M = 70.014 g mol^-1) was …

    im just adding the finishing touches to my reation rates coursework. It is an investigation into how temperature affects the rate of reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium. ive drawn a linear graph with my results, with a line of best fit, and worked out the lines gradient to 0.42 s/degrees C. i know what the gradient is, its just i dont know what it actually shows me in terms of the rate of reaction. thanks.

    I've been given this redox equation to balance: CH3CH2OH + Cr2O7(2-) --> CH3COOH + Cr(3+) The 2 half-reactions are: oxidation of ethanol: CH3CH2OH --> CH3COOH reduction of acidic dichromate ion: Cr2O7(3-) --> Cr(3+) What I got was: Ox: CH3CH2OH + H2O --> CH3COOH + 4H+ + 4e Re: 14H+ + 9e + Cr2O7(2-) --> 2Cr(3+) + 7H2O I then added multipled the top equation by 9, the bottom by 4 and then added the 2 equations together to get: 9CH3CH2OH + 4Cr2O7(2-) + 20H+ --> 9CH3COOH + 8Cr(3+) + 19H2O Does any1 agree with my answer? (I just think the numbers seem a bit big...)

    I am at a loss of how to write down circuit network equations when (i) a current source which cannot be clearly converted into a equivalent voltage source is included in one specific mesh. (ii) a dependent voltage source is included in one specific mesh. using the matrix equation form. For (i), the voltage across the current source is dependent on the variables of mesh currents, so it cannot be included into the voltage excitation/input matrix Vmesh. For (ii), can we treat the dependent source as a normal element like a resistor in the derivation of the impedance matrix? The matrix equation of the circuit network is characterized by Vmesh = Z * I wh…

    The wording of this problem is quite strange. I attempted the problem and gave up half way through. I think I simply miscalculated when when using the PV over nT = PV over nT. Here's the problem word for word: An empty glass container has a mass of 658.57 g. It has a mass of 659.45 g after it has been filled with nitrogen gas at a pressure of 790. torr and a temperature of 15 degrees C. when the container is evacuated and refilled with a certain element (A) at a pressure of 745 torr and a temperature of 26 degree C, it has a mass of 660.6 g. Compound B, a gaseous organic compound that consists of 85.6% carbon and 14.4% hydrogen by mass, is placed in a stainle…

    I've been working on these problems for some time. However, i havent been able to rationalize the answer for the following problems. 1. A 95.0 mL sample of He(g) is collected over water at 765 Torr and 56 degrees C. If, at these conditions, the "dry" V of this He(g) sample is 79.6 mL, the VP of water at 56 degrees C is closest to 1. 94.5 torr 2. 46.9 torr 3. 79.5 torr 4. 153.3 torr 5. 123. 8 torr 2. If water is saturated with a mixture of N2 (g) and a second gas at STP to give a solution which freezes at -0.00184 degrees X, and x(greek letter symbol chi) = 0.45 for N2 (g) above the water, the Henry's constant for the second gas is closest to 1. 9.6 x …

    Hey guys, what up? Yeah, i've got this problem, I'm wondering if i got it right, i'm not sure, you know........it's that during the World War I, Germany wanted to take over the Europe, is that right? So, the Western Front existed for four years, which would be 1914 to 1918, starting the date August 2 and the end date would be November 11. The Western Front battle took place in France and Flanders, which Frenchmen, British, Belgian and Americans as allies fought against Germans, as defeating them with many of BEF's (British Expeditionary Force) strenghts. So, did I state it right or everything is correct? By the way, I've got this presentation "Western Front" topi…

    I really need help because i have a test tomorrow. A student uses a compressed spring of force constant 22 N/m to shoot a 0.0075 kg eraser across a desk. The magnitude of the force of friction on the eraser is 0.042 N. How far along the horizontal desk will the eraser slide if the spring is initially compressed 3.5 cm. Use the law of conservation of energy. I know i have to find the speed and acceleration but i dont get the right answer. For speed i did Ee=Ek and then the answer i get is 1.89 m/s i think thats right. But for acceleration im not sure.I did this: Fnet=Fe-Ff ma=kx-Ff and then i end up getting 97 m/s^2 i think thats wrong. Oh can …

    I am stuck on part b of this question. 2. A 0.20 kg mass is hung from a vertical spring of force constant 55 N/m. When the spring is released from its unstretched equilibrium position, the mass is allowed to fall. Use the law of conservation of energy to determine a)The speed of the mass after it falls 1.5 cm b)The distance the mass will fall before reversing direction. How do we determine the maximum stretch. I know how to do a) but i dont kno how to do b). The answer for a is 0.48 m/s. Can someone please help me.

    I need to find a few non-internet sources (good ones) on what evolution is. Shorter articles (10 pages or less) are prefered, but I was just wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction (or if you know one off the top of your head). I have many that are defending it, but not many that explain it. I don't exactly have access to a Biology Text, but I need sources and I though maybe I could find one or two that explain the evolution process and possible abiogenisis. I need this for a position paper in my comp class... Thanks in advance!
