Okay so time is a dimension of the universe according to current modern theories and it is mathematically valid. Following this math, time and space are one and the same entity at the beginning of the universe. If time and space are one, what does this mean for a universe that is both expanding and progressing through time? Also, what does this mean for the specific inception of the universe? I know that string theory has many variants and is more or less invented, but I am just looking for a starting point, so it's okay if you can answer in generalities. I have read that the way that a "string" vibrates determines what subatomic particle it is. For example, one vibration mode might make the string act like a proton. Is it possible to change the amplitude of the vibration of the string? Are vibrational amplitudes set, stepped or continuous? Is string theory usually constructed so that a single string maps to a single subatomic particle? Many elements of science fiction contradict the laws of physics, fundamentally. For example, a spaceship going faster than light on pure fuel power alone. But, would teleportation, theoretically, comply with the laws of physics? I don't think so, as that would imply infinite velocity, which violates Einstein's rule of e=mc^2. Thoughts?

I was wondering if it is at all possible, revolving around Maxwells equations merging with multiple dimensions, that the photons which make up light are actually the quantized energy created from a rippling effect of the 5 dimension i believe... For example, like the idea revolving around colliding 3-branes in M-theory, whereby the ripples in the branes produce clumps of matter/energy etc.

According to David Griffiths' Introduction to Elementary Particles, the ("chromo-electrostatic") color-potential, between two quarks, is often modeled using Hooke's Law (F = - k x). And, according to Michael Creutz's Quarks, Gluons and Lattices (pg. 3): If the Flux Lines are conserved, would the "bag of gluo-electric flux", which squeezes down when stretched, but pancakes out when compressed, generate a Hooke's Law force ?? (This simple picture does not account for the powerful "chromo-magnetism" force, which Griffiths also discusses, separately.)

After reading through many of these topics on string theory, I wonder if this is really the place to submit this idea to the judgment of others. I don't know all the high end theories that go along with this, and so if you throw some formulas at me, I'll probably be stumped. I prefer to write and explain things in leyman's speech... Can there be an infinite amount of dimensions? Example: The 1D is an infinitely long, infinitely thin line. 2D is an infinite amount of those lines next to each other. This is infinitely flat. 3D is an infinite amount of those 2D flat sheets on top of each other. This is an infinitely 'big' space. 4D is an infinite amount of 3D stacked ana and kata direction 'next' to each other. Would 5D be infinite 4D also 'next to each other. Then 6D to 5D etc. For a video on 4D click this . Notice how 4D is 'cubes' that are infinitely big in a line. Would 5D be that line stacked infinitely 'next' to each other?

Well Does infinity exist in nature? I have recently heard blackholes actually slowly die, they somehow radiate energy (I think in gravity waves). Perhaps Black holes (not the event horizon, the "Actual Stuff") has a real size? Also the bigbang seems to suggest our universe isnt endless, Just really really really big. So the universe Does not go for infinity. Theres a Limited Speed, Mass/energy in the universe and Size. If there is a limit on everything there is a limit on complexity. Do we realy know of any instances in which infinity does exist, or have we created the concept?
