Final Speed of a Falling Object

I have a question which involves working out the final speed of a falling object when it hits the deck.

All I am given in the question is the height, the acceleration due to gravity and obviously the initial speed, i.e. 0 m/s

The context of the question is in relation to rearranging equations and substitution.

The block has covered basic velocity, acceleration, momentum and potential/kinetic energy equations.

Any guidance gratefully appreciated. :)

So post both the actual question and your attempt so far.

Don't worry if it is not right, that is the way we learn.
