Trying to synthesize nitric acid, but I only have a distillation kit with a rubber stopper..would this be an issue? I've heard NA under 80% isn't that bad, but experience is far more valued.

If you don't have the right kit you shouldn't be trying to distil nitric acid.

If you don't have the right knowledge you shouldn't be trying to distil nitric acid.

I've distilled it before, but with an all glass distillation kit...never with rubber stoppers.

Nor is "rubber" accurate enough. Dozens of formulations exist, of very different nature and origin. Most are seriously reactive, especially to oxidizers.
