Warp talk.

I want to hear oppinions and your idea of the science behind warp drive. Any idea about it that comes to mind can be disscused.

A warp drive is a theoretical form of transportation allowing one to travel faster than the speed of light. Cern released a statement years ago about having a neutrino travel faster than the speed of light. However these reading were put down to faulty equipment and a scientist resigned.

All of that information is correct and I want to now hear what you know about the science of it.

Cern uses light in the communication between the rings of the particle accelerator. Therefore they will never go faster than the speed of light in that manner if it is even possible.

For Faster than Light travel, our only real contender right now is the Alcubierre Drive. We have some promising sub C speeds that are still impressive. Antimatter rockets can supposedly get up to .8c and solar sails can theoretically get to .9c.

Warp drive is great, and it should work, (Look up Dr. Harold White) But the problem is with even if it did work is Making it work, Or producing the necessary negative energy densities which are themselves theoretical. :(
