Neurons

Featured Replies

So I have studied the three main classifications of the human body's neurons but I was wondering how many different neurons there were under each of these classifications.

Actually there are different types of classifications, depending on the context and approach (e.g. function, morphology, reaction to certain dyes etc.).

Let's see the anatomical classifications were, multipolar, unipolar, bipolar and anaxonic.

So how many different human neurons are under each characterization? As in Purkinje cells and pyramidal cells are classified as multipolar etc.
