Done. All moderators who ban members based on their opinions have been warned and the practice has been retroactively stopped dated back to before I was a mod. When we ban it's based on a member not following the rules. (To be fair there is a caveat: expressing a racist/sexist/homophobic etc. opinion is against the rules but arguably not a topic for discussion on a science site)
