Does a single electron have a north pole and south pole?

Featured Replies

How is magnetism caused for a single particle/atom, do all single particles have a magnetic field (proton, neutron, electron)

All fundamental charged particles with spin have a magnetic moment. The magnetic field of composite particles depends on the particles that comprise them and what state they're in.

The classical analogue is a charge moving and enclosing an area, but it's QM so one can't tie this into any movement or charge distribution.
