Alpha personality theory

Featured Replies

Physics defines nature as a vibration of strings.

Is human personality then a symphony of strings encapsulated in dna?

Do these strings resonate with the cosmos?

These constitute the backbone of my "alpha personality theory..."

Physics defines nature as a vibration of strings.

One hypothesis suggest that fundamental particles can be modelled as strings. Not quite the same thing.

It is hard enough trying to understand/model the mind as the action of neurons and neurotransmitters, without getting down the the level of electrons. Trying to understand in terms of string theory (even if it is correct) seems unnecessarily complicated.

The best way of modelling complex systems seems to be to abstract away from the low level details. This rarely leads to a loss of accuracy.

DNA only partly accounts for personality, by controlling the development of the brain. But external influences during development are equally significant.

DNA helps define the internal wiring (both physical and emotional) of an individual. Poor adaptation to the external environment is a product of this. DNA wiring at the lowest level is the atoms of the nucleotides coupled together as per the personality profile of the individual, which is as per string theory, a string vibrating to define the atomic signature. These strings come with their own rhythms which when magnified to the external interface level define the constructs of personality. These strings could be traded for similar strings in another individual which could indicate affinities or interests. Maybe even species separated by evolution could be loosely coupled by such an association.

Not really. If you wish to continue to assert that it does please provide peer reviewed citations to justify your claim.

No.

Really! Next you will be speaking about vortices and energy and the like. I'm sorry, but a phrase like that sounds like hand waving, new age, mumbo jumbo. If you have a serious idea you would be best to avoid such nebulous nonsense.

I suspect your theory will be bed ridden for some time.

Here we are in agreement.
