Film of live woolly mammoth?

Featured Replies

I'm not aware of a high number of sightings in the past which causes me to doubt the footage. But of course there is a possibility considering that was the USSR I would guess.

Very unlikely.

The reason is that it doesn't match the time-scale required for genetic engineering of an advanced subject as this.

Nope. Googled it. It's cropped footage of a CGI mammoth from a documentary with some filters applied.

I'm impressed, I didn't think it was real but I had googled it as well and couldn't find it...

Here is the documentary. At 19.05

In a nutshell: it’s a clip from Walking With Beasts’ mammoth episode just turned black and white

Doug Kalemba via Facebook responds: September 6th, 2013 at 9:26 am Alan, it’s exactly the same footage that is at 19:05 in the video on post 5. It’s just flipped horizontally and converted to B&W. Total BS.

After the conclusion of the WW2 Battle of Stalingrad, Nazi Party member and official photographer for the NSDAP, Holger Hildebrand, was captured by the Red Army at the Battle of Stalingrad. He and thousands of other Wehrmacht soldiers were later sent on a death march towards Siberia; this mammoth footage is understood to have been taken during that journey. (Hildebrand is believed to have died a prisoner of war at a Soviet forced labor camp in late 1945. His Granddaughter later came into possession of the footage when his belongings were repatriated to Germany from Russia decades after his death.)

Googling Holger Hildebrand you get replies only from the same HOAX.

Isn't there anybody to sue the inventor of such a lie?

So the Russians let him keep and use his movie camera during a death march towards Siberia?

That was my first clue this was crap.

I'm not surprised. I had to dig through a lot of results about a different "live" mammoth video from last Spring.

You tube is crawling with videos like this, if someone really did come up with a real video of something extraordinary it would be just another video in the cesspool of you tube videos..

I have found only one you tube video i can't track down and so far no one else has either, it's supposed to be a crashing UFO but there is no record of what it really is at all...
