It all depends on the format.If you want you film to play in a dvd player it must be in VCD,SVCD,M-peg4(some dvd players dont play m-pegs). I figure the more expensive ones would be able to handle a greater varitety of formats (hence the higher price). I figure the cheaper ones would only play DVDs...as they are more common.
