can anybody help me with ma physics assignment??

well, we are supposed to research an interesting technology about Physics

i can do the job, but i don't know what to base my research on............

can anybody help me please?? i wanna do something about nuclear physics.......

so that's quite all i can say today

bye

Why not do fusion? Tremendously exciting and interesting and vey cutting edge. If they fix the problems with it they will have solved all the world's energy problems.

well, everybody else is doing that. that's actually my final resolve. what i have in mind though is about particle accelerators.........but as a high school student i might find a little bit of difficulty in that topic.....

thanks for the advice anyway... :)

Oh, I don't know about that. The basics of particle accelerators aren't all that difficult compared to fusion. You could discuss the various designs and advantages/disadvantages (e.g. linear vs circular). SLAC, TRIUMF, CERN, DESY, the Tevatron at Fermilab - there are several.

Wow! There are a whole bunch! I imagine their websites (which are linked) have explanations of how they work and what they do.

thanks.....now doing research........:D

If you have any questions about particle accelerators, just ask. This is what I do for a living. My most recent paper was with ATLAS (one of the detectors for the LHC).

now that WILL be useful to know! :)

they're an interesting topic... have fun with the research!
