Alot of teenagers when they hear the word 'school' they just well grow sick and don't want to do it. I agree, it's boring sometimes, and i dislike all subjects except... Science. Something about Science interests me big time. I think it's the feeling that you get when a friend says 'Do you get this?' and you know you do. When i was younger scientists were like geniuses and everything to them was complex to me, but now that i understand some i feel part of that group. I love science.

Why do you love Science?

P.S. What is the name of the one-celled organism we all started out as? Started with a Z, forgot it...

Food for thought huh. Science can be complex at times, but when you grasp it, its simplicity really amazes me.

Science is integrated in many parts of our lives (basically everything), our pursuits for logic and explanation has been the main driving force, the satisfaction of realising can be overwhelming and addictive.

That's my view.

Yep! How many times has your math teacher said 'Math is life, life is Math'? They are wrong! SCIENCE is life! What type of science do you like? I like Biology?

as a matter of fact. maths is considered a science. we need maths in our lives too. construction of our buildings or roads, or building anything requires maths. in physics, we need maths too. maths and science are inseparable.

I like biology too. maths, chemistry... and physics (although i'm not good at it.)

Do you mean zygote?

I'm also a high school student, and I have to say that science is the one class that really fascinates me and makes me think, I love to know how and why things are the way they are, and learning basic principles of biology, chemistry, etc can provide lots of "aha!" moments about things in every day life. I'm looking forward to college with the wide range of classes to choose from...so no, I don't think you're crazy, and if you are then you're in good company. ;)

in that case so am I (and one or 2 others here).

I don`t have just ONE reason why I love Science (I don`t think anyone does really).

but primarily it`s the Beauty of it, actualy KNOWING how the universe (or aspects of it) work, and being able to look at regular everyday items and events with a deeper understanding and thus appreciation :)

others may see just a grain of salt on the table, I can no longer look at it that way, it`s much more than that to me. and any new revelations through learning just opens up more wonderment.

it`s like being a kid in a candy store :)

"it`s like being a kid in a candy store :)"

It sure is, especially when it comes to pyrochemistry. :D

I like most sciences too. Especially chemistry. And quantum physics, not that I understand too much about it though. :) And I have a similar thing going on as you do Siientx: I'm not too interested in other subjects than chem or physics. :P

Chemistry is also a marvellous way of annoying people that don't know much about it. :)

that`s interesting, I use my knowledge not to annoy everyday folks, but to teach, sometimes until they yawn or fall asleep. my enthusiasm if more often than not contagious though and they ask me about more things (a good sign). those that fall asleep or avoid me from there on in?... yeah, I can see how it would inadvertantly annoy them :)

it is a good thing, YT. except, make sure that you don't keep going round the bush, because i have encountered with several teachers that just keep on repeating the same thing, but rephrasing. It is absolutely annoying.

It would a privilege if there is some private tutor out that to share his or her knowledge about science. Well, i guess i found it. SFN.

oh, that can be a danger. well, if i have time to spare, why not listen to it?

I think ppl call this "passion". passion for science. :)

Peple with such passion might just be that burning fuel or spark to incite others to love science. Its a CHAIN REACTION! ha ha...

I agree totaly!

that`s how I got started, my Mother and her Father (my grand father) had a passion for Science.

I was started off a VERY early age, in fact before I have memories. and so when shown all these wonderfull things, I wanted More MOre MORE! :)

A contangious science addict.

for me, science was really co-incidental. When i was young, i hated science to the core as i ALWAYS failed for my science subject, because i didn't know the need to UNDERSTAND science. I merely memorised. Ever since this special science teacher who came along, that provided the ignition key for my interest and love for science.

I guess that was fate afterall.

I maintain that there is no BETTER TEACHER! than Curiosity itself!

any teacher that can encourage that curiousity to breed is a Good Teacher!

then you step back and provide clues and resources to fulfill that need and hopefully generate further questions :)

I don`t know where it comes from nor would I hazzard a guess beyond survival instincts used in a redundant situation and turned into exploration instead (since survival is quite easy now for most of us).

but sure, I`de be happy to say God(s) made it that way, I`m not a NON beleiver, I just like Proof :)

I love science because its type of control, creation.

if you know what it is then you know what to do with it and what it can be used for.

knewledge is a powerful thing, thats why I hate TV ads as they talk the biggest pill of crap about product.
