In 1930 he proposed that electrons are continuous clouds.

You need to be more specific. You mean the idea that electrons and nucleus are separate, or that the orbits are not classical planetary orbits?

 

The experiment that destroyed the J. J. Thompson "plum pudding" model of the atom was the Rutherford scattering experiment.
