A brain teaser

Featured Replies

One snowy night, Sherlock Holmes was in his house sitting by a fire. All of a sudden a snowball came crashing through his window, breaking it. Holmes got up and looked out the window just in time to see three neighborhood kids who were brothers run around a corner. Their names were John Crimson, Mark Crimson and Paul Crimson. The next day Holmes got a note on his door that read “? Crimson. He broke your window.” Which of the three Crimson brothers should Sherlock Holmes question about the incident?

"'Regardless of race, juveniles with unpopular names are more likely to engage in criminal activity,' the study said..... The researchers found that for every 10 percent increase in a name's popularity, there was a 4 percent decrease in the number of juvenile delinquents of the same name."

So Appolinaria - what does that mean for someone whose name doesn't make the list? Doomed to a life of crime?

And wow - just noticed the serious lack of imagination in men's names - well over 10pct of the total in the top four names; at leas the women's were a little more spread out.

Is it imagination, or grandfather's name (or grandmother's, some close relative's name anyway)?
