Free Photoshop / Dreamweaver Alternatives

I have ran into some license issues and we're having a software compliance audit at my workplace. I would like to know if anyone has a good alternative to either Photoshop or Dreamweaver that is free software. Thank you.

The Gimp is the most comprehensive free photoeditor like photoshop but the learning curve is quite steep . I use Paint. Net myself which is more intuitive than GIMP to use although not so featured.

or you could just uninstall it til after the audit and then reinstall it after, Surprised no one told you to download a version with the product key from a torrent site or to use a software key generator for your already installed version. That's the easiest way to fix your problem as opposed to learning a new program. Next time register the software before you discard the package it really doesn't take that long it's a mild pain in the butt to avoid hassles like this in the future.

Not surprising really...because it's illegal.

It seems that Paint.net has been ported to Linux as "Mono Paint" or "Paint Mono". I don't know what linux you are using but this is a link with Ubuntu in mind...that should cover Mint as well. You could have a look in the repository of your version of Linux to see if it's there.
