Status:pending Jan22/2011 Recently I saw an episode of Oprah in which Oprah claims a young white male consumed "life-threatening pills" in order to darken his skin. The result of this was said to be a reddish-brown pigmentation of the skin. Marat Posted January 22, 2011 Share Posted January 22, 2011 You should read the (once) famous book, 'Black Like Me,' which came out in the 1960s, I believe, and which was an autobiographical account of some Caucasian who chemically made himself appear black and tested the cultural atmosphere of a then still racist America through that lens. I remember one scene in the book where he realizes that his disguise has a significant flaw in that he has hair on his hands and black males do not, so he had to shave it off.
