iNow
I'd actually be somewhat surprised if journal impact was relevant for what you're doing, Pangloss. Severian is mostly just bragging about how he has to publish in high impact journals only (and, to his credit, his bragging rights are both deserved and earned), since he publishes stuff regarding work he's doing at CERN, arguably one of the largest and coolest science explorations humanity has ever undertaken in our entire history. ajb
How do you find out what a journal's impact factor is? Sometimes the journal website will tell you.
Pangloss
I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's feedback in this thread. I followed your cumulative (and sage) advise, and was just picked up for my first publication by a peer-reviewed journal. Very exciting! Thanks folks! npts2020
Way to go, Pangloss. The first of many, I hope.
Mr Skeptic
Congrats. Do we get to read your paper? Might be interesting to have an "honors" type section listing the stuff forum members have published. Make us look good. Of course, that means they'd have to give their real name.
