Ongoing SFN Issues

Featured Replies

Unfortunately our webhost has been suffering from catastrophic network issues for the past day or so*. We're back up temporarily, but I don't know how long this will last. The hosts are not being very communicative about what is going on and whether things will be completely fixed any time soon.

So hang in there. Ideally they'll solve this sometime soon and SFN will be back to its usual busy self.

* This is a euphemism for "Dave spilled his Guinness on the server."

[09:36] <Sylar> did you break SFN again?

[09:37] <Capn_Refsmmat> no, the datacenter broke again

[09:42] <mib_o417zg> of course

[09:46] <Fuzzwood> stop tripping ppl there then

[09:50] <Capn_Refsmmat> sorry, I dropped a whole box of banana peels in there last time I visited

I should probably point out that if the situation doesn't sort itself out in the next few days, then we'll move the server to an alternative data centre which may result in a little more downtime, but much more stable in the long run I guess.

  • 2 weeks later...

All week's been pretty crappy and only working intermittently. Today, I got several server busy errors, as well as a Forbidden (I think it was a 405) error.

Does this also effects the ircserver? I tried blackcobaldt and opressess.. no connection?

cheers

Does this also affects IRC? I tried blackcobalt and opressess.us, but no answer?

cheers

These are two different servers (IRC and WEB) so it's not the same problem. Whatever the problem is, the IRC server is now semi-operational (routing to another IRC subdomain) and hopefully will come back online soon.
