So I must have some spyware or something that hijacks my google and yahoo searches and returns results to a bunch of spam crap. Anyone heard of this? Can anyone do a quick search on the internet for a fix?

Go adaware! I think it's definitely better then Spybot S&D, since it does a full scan instead of just a few folders.

If you insist on using IE, then get a piece of software called SpywareGuard - it protects against a lot of hijacks and it's free - always good.

Firefox is newer, and improveder.

I think the only difference is that Firefox is a standalone web browser. Mozilla integrates Navigator, Mail, Address Books, Chatzilla, etc...

Firefox is also modified a bunch, I think. Newer and better.
