Where can I find a really small generator

I have a project in which i need a generator that can fit in an area of 6"x6"x6". Anyone know a place?

first of all you have a volume there. and what sort of power are you looking for? and are you expecting fuel tanks to be included in that volume?

A bicycle generator, usually used to power the lights on your bike.

In those little wind up flashlights their is small generators, wich, like insane alien said, are just small electric motors run in reverse.

 

There is also small generators in well many different peices of technology. Anything that vibrates will have them, anything that moves by electricity in a circular motion...

 

This is something i like to think i know about, i take alot of stuff apart.

As for generators run in reverse, that will only work if the motor has magnets. If you have an induction motor, don't count on it working as a generator (it might work if you power it up and then keep spinning it, but don't count on it).
