Have we sent a probe to Uranus?

Featured Replies

Maybe to Uranus but not my...

Ahem. Voyager 2 sped past it in '86.

That was rather funny, but I am also curious to know whether any probes reach Neptune and Pluto, and perhaps the outside of the Solar System.

Refraining from any obvious southpark references, a list of all of the planetary probes for all countries can be found at this link.

They even translate it into Japanese if you want. :D

hohoho

As regards to Neptune, I think one of the Voyager probes passed it; don't think anything's gone to pluto as far as I'm aware because of the elevation from the planetary disc that the other planets lie on.

My wife says she likes it but I don't think anyone else would be that interested.

me thinks that this thread was delibirately started for a barrage of innuendos.

i dont agree bloodhound, maybe the guy was just curious.

people can send a space probe to anywhere they like all that limits it is fuel supply, time and the ability to send the data back.

:D

Voyager 2 is the only probe ever to get to Uranus but this was not its purpose. It was more a case of if its still working what the hell.
