More detail on LHC accident (2 tonnes of helium, 9300 amps...)

This blog post has some detail

section 34 is depicted as looking like an ice tunnel

liquid helium can act as an explosive if it vaporizes rapidly

enough helium vaporized to replace the air in a one-kilometer section of the tunnel, according to this blog post. the blogger imagines helium breathing Yeti living down there, who speak in squeaky voices

do you think they'll release pictures of it, cause in my mind it looks damn cool.

Apparently it was violent enough to move the multi-tonne magnets by 30cm.

I predict a bunch of conspiracy theories saying " It wasn't a magnet quench, it was a mini black hole/ gateway to a parallel universe/ unspecified big scary thing."

Even better than predicting it, I'm going to stake my copyright claim right here.

It's MY idea!

Anyone wanting to post conspicary theories about the CERN incident like the above can pay me for the honour.

(Obviously this won't really work, but if it stops a few notters wasting the world's bandwidth it has to be worth a try.

Any thoughts?)

At last the positive proof of bigfoot;)
