W/m2 to kcal/hr-m2 ?

Featured Replies

Unlikely that someone know that off their head but I see no problem converting it:

1 = 3600 s / 1 h

1 = x kcal / 1 J (look up the number)

1 = 1 J / 1 Ws

=> 1 W/m² = 1*1*1*1 W/m² = 1 W/m² *3600 s/h * x kcal/J * 1 J/Ws = 3600x kcal/hm².

And it's 4.18 Joule per calorie

If you are referring to the Cal (capitalized, food calorie), that equals 4182J.
