Castro steps down

Fidel Castro announced his retirement from the presidency of Cuba. The embargo worked!

Wow. It will be very interesting to see where this goes. His brother, Raul, is assumed to be the person who will fill the slot, and he is supposed to be more flexible and practical than Fidel. I'm still scanning news releases to learn more.

Not until every last Communist cigar maker has retired too.

I wonder if Raul has the charisma to keep the government together without Fidel. He's still around for now, but when he dies I have a hunch that Cuban Communistm will too.

I shared it with my cubical neighbors and we all got a chuckle out of it.
