Phobia of baldness

Featured Replies

on my mothers side of the family, both my great and grand fathers respectively have thick, lustrous heads of hair. My father has another very thick head of hair but my fathers father began to lose his around 35. Im paranoid of losing mine, i continuously check myself and am convinced that the part on the crown of my head is slowly thinning. The gene that codes for baldness is derived from the x gene on the mothers side so i should be safe... unless my damn genetics had a mutation....

I dont understand. What's the big deal?

Maybe all your stressing is causing it?

:awaits scientific refute and/or agreement:

You're right. If you want to know what's likely to happen to your hair, look at your mother's father, rather than your father or his father. This will only provide a probable outcome though, not certainty. There are other factors involved.

Buy 4 different shampoos, 4 different conditioners, and every couple of days, cycle through them all. Comb your hair gently, dry your hair like a woman, when they blot it, rather than rub it.

Pincho.
