Were you trying to solder on robotic appendages or brain enhacing chips?

I'm actually making a model rocket with a video camera as payload. It's turning out to be quite a challenge. There's a microswitch I need to keep shut. I've tried hot gluing it and soldering it, even plastic cement. All i've done is melt the plastic on the switch. I was trying to solder it again when I burnt myself :/

Don't use epoxy, epoxy can't bind plastic worth a diddly.
