well... hard to say really, for larger projects I just save up. for other things I simply collect lots of junk, take out the "good bits" and store them. the rest I make from sctatch, I buy the chem precursors, and just apply basic chem 101 to make the product I need (you`de be SOoooooo surprised what you can actualy make from OTC material!).

but mostly it`s nothing more than plain old British resourcefulness :)

 

In effect I`m a Womble, with the brain of MacGuyver :)

 

edit: PS, nearly 4got, I also get paid on occasion for my special effects work and for cost cutting and producing new items for my "boss" in security/surveilance work :)

When I am working on my PC at home (most evenings and a lot of the weekend), or at work, I have SFN open in the background on the "who's online" page so I can see if anything interesting is happening just by Alt-Tabbing.

 

That's why my hours have always jumped by Monday morning ;)
