Hello Everyone,

Im interested in creating a similar product to RMR 86, please see the SDS below.

I was hoping someone can figure out which powder ingredients I need and how many grams to mix with water ? It contains "UltraPure Sodium Hypochlorite".

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0745/8297/files/RMR-PRO.pdf?v=1671552733

Documents mention...

Hybrid Ultrapure Sodium Hypochlorite 5-10%
Sodium Carbonate 1-3%
Sodium Hydroxide 1%
Sodium Silicate ?
Lauramine Oxide ?

Bottle mentions...

Sodium Hypochlorite 8%
Surfactant Mixture 8%
Inert Ingrediants 10%
Other Ingrediants 75 % Water

Thanks,
Daniel

The compounds are mentioned. But the recipe, the supplier will not tell. The SDS is only a hint what is in.

But to make it  yourself will be more expensive as to buy the original.

Also its a risk for safety an warranty.

I don't think you can get high purity sodium hypochlorite as a solid powder- it usually decomposes a bit when you remove the water.

How do you determine the purity of Sodium Hypochlorite ?

Is there something to look for or is all Sodium Hypochlorite the same ?

Iodometric titration, but I can't see how that's relevant.

It's a chemical.
It is always the same.

Fundamentally, the material you posted the data for is just bleach.
I think the amine oxide is there as a surfactant/ thickener.
The other alkalies are there because hypochlorite is more stable in alkaline solution.

What are you trying to achieve?
