Have you heard of such a project before? I haven't heard of such ideas.

You haven't heard, because it's just plain stupid. Aircraft are designed to fly at an altitude of 10 km and speed of 900 km/h. They are almost airtight (cockpit dehermetization is one of the most common ways of disaster). Aircraft are designed to have a streamlined shape to minimize air resistance (to minimize fuel usage). At an altitude of 10 km it is -50 C and a fraction of the pressure of sea level, so after one flight your plants would freeze to death.

How would you water a plane made of living plants ???

Put pontoons on it and land on lakes.

A further though occurred,

The Earth has two fluid environments air, and water.

Ther are plenty of free floating plants on/in the water environment, so the idea of a travelling plant is not silly.

But the air is much thinner so perhaps only the free floating microorganisms that are plants are possible.

Perhaps the biology specialists will advise further.
