Washing machine vibrations v ultrasonic transducer ?

Featured Replies

Water inside an ultrasonic cleaner (operating in the 40,000kHz range) rill ripple so very slightly, but what Hz is created with standing water (in a container) sat above a washing machine on full spin (1200rpm) ?

Likely 1200 divided by 60  = 20 Hz

I would multiply that by the agitator bars in the back of the drum as equivalent to each one being a pulse disturbance, so say  3 bars in there, then 60Hz.

Correction: multiply not divide

Oh, I see.  Your horizontal shaft drum instead of my vertical shaft kind of washer that the 'post agitator' fins do nothing in spin cycle.  Well,  in spin cycle your model does not much either. 🙂
