Ligand and quantic physic

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have always been interest by quantic physic even if I don't have the mathematic or physic knowledge allowing me to really understand it.

So a question came into my mind: do we find any impact of the physic quantic theory on the relation ligand receptor? Does some people research on bio-quantic stuff?

I have the same question about protein reploiement and quantic effect.

Thank you if you can help me, and I hope I'm being clear.

Do you mean "quantum"? Yes there is a field in biology, generally in the field of molecular biology . Prominent examples include photoactivation of biomolecules, or modelling of electron transfers as a series of tunneling processes as well as DNA dynamics.

It is my understanding that some people use a mixed quantum/classical approach when studying ligands interacting with macromolecules in silico.  This is not an area of expertise of mine; therefore, it is possible that I am mistaken.
